ASIC Design Engineer Job - SSD's
There is an immediate need for a Senior ASIC design engineer to assume primary responsibility for the design, implementation and verification of a next generation SSD controller. This position will work closely with System Architects, third party Design Engineers and the ASIC vendor to delivery cutting edge technology which will set new standards for performance and reliability in solid state data storage.
Qualifications:- Minimum of 7 years experience as an ASIC design engineer with multiple designs successfully delivered
- Demonstrated proficiency in RTL design and simulation using Verilog HDL and VCS
- Thorough working knowledge of Synopsys EDA tools including Design Compiler, Primetime and Formality
- Experience working directly with ASIC vendors on physical design and fabrication issues to ensure first silicon deliver on time and to specification.
- A track record of success as a technical team leader in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- PCB design tools, techniques and technology
- Laboratory bring up and debug methodologies and equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
- Hi-speed data interfaces (e.g. 8b/10b SERDES, DDR2)
- Data encryption and ECC techniques
- ASIC test technologies (e.g. JTAG, BIST)
- BS EE or Equivalent
